This telenovela is about second chance or another opportunity at life. Old Don Pedro Donoso, the stupendously wealthy industrialist fell in love with a beautiful, ambitious and scheming young woman who was old enough to be his daughter. Unfortunately, the young woman was not in love with him but his wealth and she ganged up with her lover Andre who happened to be the next in command to the old man.

The story revolved round the old man who died but whose soul entered the body of a younger and stronger peasant farmer.
