Apart from being the must watch TV program for 4 months, the live events including the weekly eviction shows, was also the meeting place for the cream de-la cream of society. It also attracted large crowds from all walks of life who got opportunity to participate in the events.

The MTN soccer Academy reality Show had over thousands of football players registering and screening to select the final 14 team-mates. For the first time in history one of this fourteen unknown footballers emerged as a prodigy and went on to play trial with the Chelsea football club. Gideon Baah and Collins Akowuah the winner and 1st runner up are currently playing key roles in the Zttatuna United a Premier League Club, with both having gotten a call for trial in Israel and Germany come July 2008.
